Welcome to the registration and waiver for the Rainbow Routes Association - Hike Club September 6, 2025.

Registering helps us organize and ensures you get last minute notifications such as cancellation due to extreme weather conditions or other changes. You will not receive a confirmation email immediately after registering, only the day before the hike.

About the Hike

Come join us on Saturday September 6, 2025 as we explore walking areas around Lively. We will remember the town of Creighton, and walk through the history of Lively, from farmland to planned community.

Hike Details

When: Saturday September 6, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM (please arrive 10 minutes early)

Meeting place: Parking Lot of Tom Davies Community Centre/Arena, 325 Anderson Drive, Lively

* Transit: From downtown take #101 Lively at 12:15 pm to GOVA stop Anderson, Lively. Returns to Sudbury at approximately 3:20 pm Please note the earlier departure for the bus to arrive in Lively on time for the start of the hike.

Note: GOVA fare is $4.00. Exact change or a bus pass is required.

Terrain/Trail Surface: Urban streets, sidewalks and trails AND some steep hills and optional rock climbing. Proper footwear is required.

Length: 4-5 km

Dress: Dress for the weather, wear good hiking shoes, bring bottled water and please register.

Duration: 2 -3 hours

Difficulty: Easy to moderate with some steep climbing

Hike Type: Medium paced with stops

Important Information
Registration is required to participate in the hike. This ensures that you receive all last-minute notifications, including weather-related cancellations or any changes to the event plan. Note that you will receive a confirmation email the day before the hike.

Our hikes are designed to accommodate participants capable of walking on outdoor trails. Look out for organizers in RRA dark blue vests at the event for any assistance or questions you may have.

Participant (and registration guests) Waiver & Risk Acknowledgements. Please read carefully. *

I am aware of the nature of hiking activities I choose to take part in, and that I am properly equipped and physically able to participate. I have consulted my doctor (if necessary) and have no medical or other condition left unmanaged that might preclude my participation.

I acknowledge that the activities in which I am participating involve risks that are beyond the control of the association including the potential for disability or death. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks both known and unknown and assume full responsibility for my participation. I agree to pay any emergency costs if and where applicable including evacuation of my person or belongings. The route includes a wide variety of infrastructure, including but not limited to, road crossings, sidewalks of varying conditions, both maintained and unmaintained trails of varying condition, etc.

I give full permission for the use of me and/or my minor child's name, photograph and video image by the Rainbow Routes Association to recognize my participation and promote RRA and its initiatives. If you do not agree, please inform the hike leader at the onset of the event!

I hereby release City of Greater Sudbury and/or other Trail Operator, their employees, volunteers, other participants, partners, sponsoring agencies, advertisers, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (Releasees) with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.

I recognize and understand that RRA activity hike leaders are volunteers, and do not necessarily have professional qualifications and training to lead their activities to industry standards.

I will stay home if presenting any symptoms of illness such as fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, etc.
