This form, serves as a sign up for the Gravity 1 Climbing Club.

What does that mean?

Gravity 1 club is one of many clubs registered under Western Cape Climbing (WCC), our provincial body for competitive climbing in South Africa. They fall under the South African National Climbing Federation (SANCF) who is the National body for competition climbing in South Africa.

In order to compete at a provincial level, you need to be registered with a club (like us) as well as the WCC provincial body. Then, that opens you up to a number of competitions! Whether you are serious athlete wanting to compete at provincial, national and international level, wanting to use the competition arena as a training aid for the great outdoors, or a casual weekend warrior looking for some fun, this is the place for you!

Also, if you aren't interested in taking part in the competition climbing scene that is totally ok. But if you are a part of the community and what to help those competing and the gyms hosting. Please sign up with us and sign up as a recreational member with WCC. This grows our data base of climbers and members of our sport which ultimately gives us more chance of getting funding for our events and athletes in the future!
