Someone from the Urban League will contact you to confirm that your application has been received. If enrollment is open for an upcoming Pharmacy Technician Academy, we will contact you to schedule a screening interview. If we are not currently for a program, we will let you know when the next program is expected to begin, and place your name a wait list to be contacted when enrollment reopens.
The final step of the enrollment process for the Pharmacy Technician Academy is to attend a screening interview with the Urban League Program Manager for the Pharmacy Technician Academy which includes computer assessments. Interviews are scheduled before the program begins. Again, everyone who has completed an online application will be contacted throughout the enrollment process for the Pharmacy Technician Academy.
All applications completed after the deadline will be placed on a call back list when enrollment opens for the next Pharmacy Technician Academy.
Learn the in's and out's to providing patients with informed and confidential interactions, refining your math skills, into to using EPIC software, HIPPA regulations, medical terminology laboratory; how to manage your time with multiple priorities, professional communications, upgrading your computer skills and more!
The Pharmacy Technician Academy along with all Urban League services are FREE.
* All positions offered by employers have a minimum requirement of being 18 years or over with a high school diploma or equivalent education, the ability to pass a background check (some backgrounds may not be compatible with working in a call center environment) and the ability to pass a drug screen. Some positions may have further requirements. It is your responsibility to determine before applying to Pharmacy Technician Academy if you would be eligible to work in a pharmaceutical environment. Fully disclosing any potential barriers to the Urban League will allow you to make the best decision possible and explore additional opportunities if needed.Please be aware that spaces for Pharmacy Technician Academy (Pharm Tech) are limited and that everyone will undergo the same screening process.
