The Sheep Drive is a major City event involving some 600 Freemen of the City of London crossing the bridge with their sheep, raising thousands of pounds for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal and the Woolmens' Charitable Trust, and the Guild has a vital part to play in this event. As marshals the Young Freemen will be the public face of the Sheep Drive, leading people across the bridge, dressed in their scarlet robes. Coverage of the event is global with images syndicated across the world.
The event is free for Young Freemen and their guests, and includes breakfast and a hot lunch. A standout event in our year, this event is truly one of a kind and not to be missed.
As with all Guild events the sheep drive is open to friends, family, and other guests. Bookings for this event will close on Sunday 22nd September at 5:00pm.
According to the Statutes and Ordinances of the Guild, Quarterage is due on 1 July of each calendar year and must be settled within 30 days thereof. Failure to settle in full any invoice or monies owed to the Guild within the periods prescribed above or in any case by the due date of an invoice will result in an automatic suspension and possible termination of membership.
The Guild reserves the right to levy a 20% Late Payment / Debt Recovery Charge on any late payments.
Unless otherwise stated, refunds will not be issued for any event where notice of cancellation is received by the Guild after the advertised booking deadline.
