WRG is a 501(c)3 certified non-profit organization that uses music and performance to uplift marginalized voices, encourages self-esteem, community, and self-expression in girls and gender-expansive youth. A large part of how we organize is to prioritize & center women, femmes, nonbinary and gender-nonconforming individuals in leadership roles. However, we collaborate with folks of all gender-expressions and work to create a welcoming space for all ✨💗✨

Our main creative youth program is Rock Camp which happens over the summer and serves youth aged 10-17 in the Alachua County area. The week-long camp, provides a safe, creative environment where the kids are sorted into rock bands and learn how to play their pre-assigned instruments as a group. At the end of the week, the camper bands perform in front of their peers and family. Its a celebration of creativity, perseverance and community!!

We Rock Gainesville works year-round as an organization to raise money for our summer program and holds supplemental community events to stay engaged with our campers and volunteers!
