George Washington University students, faculty, staff and special guests are invited to attend a live Voice of America (VOA) town hall about the opportunities and challenges facing international students from 10-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3 in the Jack Morton Auditorium.
VOA will broadcast and livestream internationally a 90-minute examination of the factors that attract international students to American higher education. Panelists include experts from George Washington University, Wellesley College, Stanford University, Michigan State University, Brigham Young University, American University and Johns Hopkins University. In the first half-hour, they will discuss the challenges of immigration and admissions. In the second half-hour, the discussion will veer toward the cultural and academic challenges facing international students in America, and in the final 30 minutes, the panel will take questions from the studio audience.
Tickets are limited and not everyone who requests a seat can be accommodated.
