Welcome, we are glad you are here! Move & Grow is a play group guided by pediatric therapists, Robyn Evans, OTR/L and Elizabeth Darling, PT, DPT. Guided play with both pediatric therapists allows for detailed focus on aspects of your child's gross and fine motor skill development. These community-building play groups also provide education on age-appropriate developmental milestones, sensory exploration, and activities to encourage musculoskeletal development. Class Descriptions:
Rock n' Rollers (0-6 months, newborns-pre-sitting)
Friday: 10:30-11:15
Helping your newborns and infants find the fun in play can be challenging as they begin to attempt various functional positions. This class focuses on pre-sitting developmental milestones, such as rolling and sitting. We will also target strategies to progress tummy time and strength/coordination for progression toward independent mobility. This class also addresses visual-motor, fine motor, and sensory play activities for further development of age-appropriate motor skills. Therapists will also assist in interventions for preventing common conditions among babies in this age group, such as "flat-head syndrome". Our Rock n' Rollers class presents a wonderful opportunity for building community with others in similar phases of caregiving and development.
Baby Explorers: (7-15 months, sitters-pre-walkers)
Friday: 9:30-10:15am
It's time to start exploring! This class provides strategies for encouraging independent mobility through gross motor milestones, such as army crawling, creeping on hands and knees, cruising, and walking. We will also cover transitions to sitting, standing, and hands and knees to help your little one get on the move on their own! We will also address age-appropriate visual motor, fine motor, and sensory skills for further advancement of exploration of their environment. This class also gives children and caregivers the opportunity to engage with others as we play together!
*** Age ranges are approximate, however may vary slightly based on your baby's individual motor development. Feel free to select the "other" category when selecting a class if you have concerns about the most appropriate class for your child. We will reach out and assist you with choosing the best option for your child.

** You will receive free play at the Kids Play & Cafe at the end of our session. You are welcome to stay as long as you would like. Friday morning they host Toddler Time from 10am-12pm and only allow kids under 4, so this is a great time to let your little one explore!
