Thank you for your interest in interest in volunteering as a group with Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity (GFHFH) to join in the fight against poverty housing. Please complete this form in its entirety to begin the process of scheduling a build day for your group. We ask that all group leaders read our Volunteer Handbook (available on our website) and understand our volunteer policies and expectations before submitting this form.
Volunteer opportunities are generally available Wednesday through Saturday for the full day from 8:00 am until 3:30 pm. Saturday is the most popular day and spaces fill up fast. If your group is able to come during the week, we ask that you do so. We suggest that groups bring a donation in order to defray the cost of building (see the Sponsorship/Donation Information section below). If your group is unable to contribute the suggested amount, we will do our best to give you the opportunity to volunteer, but we may need to give priority to sponsoring groups in order to serve the mission. We ask that each group arrange to provide lunch for its members, or have members bring their own meals. Your group will be scheduled at the earliest opening, which may be several months from the time interest is indicated. Contact us as early as possible to ensure that you receive a date within your desired time frame.
