Brooklyn Learning Lab Volunteer Application
Brooklyn Learning Lab is a K-12 New York State Not-for-Profit organization. We offer FREE online mathematics tutoring to children in Brooklyn and the other boroughs. We work with children in Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5 from Monday to Friday for 30 minutes.

For our 2017-2018 school year, we are rolling out our first curriculum, a mix of mathematics and culture (ethnomathematics) through storytelling.

Our program for the 2017-2018 school year times:
Section A: 5:15 PM to 5:45 PM;
Section B: 6:15 PM to 6:45 PM; and
Section C: 7:15 PM to 7:45 PM.

We need help urgently from individuals who
1. Are interested in teaching online;
2. Are great at telling stories;
3. Have a basic understanding of whole numbers, fractions and decimals, willing to learn to expand their mathematical knowledge and eager to help children;
4. Have a laptop or computer, internet, working webcam and microphone; and
5. Have 50 minutes to dedicate to two or three students from Monday to Friday.

Start Date: Monday, September 25, 2017

End Date: Friday, November 3, 2017
