2025 Hazel Park Memorial Day Parade Application
Parade Date: May 26th, 2025  - Memorial Day 

Event Location: Staging will begin at Hazel Park Junior High parking lot on 22770 Highland Ave, Hazel Park, MI 48030.

Arrival Time: 9:30AM 

Parade Start Time: 10 AM sharp

Parade entry forms should be submitted as soon as possible. They may be submitted in-person at 620 W. Woodward Heights at the recreation department or by submitting this form online. They may also be emailed to: hprecreation@hazelpark.org. The deadline to enter the parade is Thursday May 15th, 2025.

Parade Ribbons
Each person participating in the parade will receive a ribbon, which will be worn during the parade.  

Bicycle Ribbons
All bicyclists will be awarded a ribbon for participation.

Please check if you understand 2025 Hazel Park Memorial Parade will start at the Hazel Park Junior High School (and not 8 Mile + John R). *

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
A Memorial Service will be held outside of City Hall at the Salute to Heroes Veterans Memorial site at 9:00am on Monday, May 26th prior to the parade. City Hall is located on 111 E. Nine Mile Road. 

PARADE PACKETS MUST BE PICKED UP PRIOR TO THE PARADE. Parade packets contain the parade lineup information and ribbons to wear in the parade. It is important that all groups receive necessary paperwork prior to the day of the parade. Parade packets can be picked up at the Hazel Park Community Center starting Monday, May 19th- Thursday, May 22nd.

The deadline to enter the parade is Thursday May 15th, 2025. 


MEMORIAL DAY PARADE POLICY
As a condition of approval to participate in the 2025 Hazel Park Memorial Day Parade, each participant agrees to the following:

  1. All Memorial Day Parade participants must have a patriotic theme to their unit or float.
  2. Candidates for political office may not hand out literature on the parade route.
  3. Each entry maintains a space of no more than 20ft. behind the participants in front of them during the entire parade route.
  4. In case of inclement weather: the parade will only disband due to thunder/lighting or severe rain. *Parents please stay with your child if this occurs.
  5. All entries with animals MUST ensure proper cleanup along the parade route.
