May 5 to 8th: Final Race to the Ballot is ON with Big Jump Start at OutRaleigh Street Festival on May 5th (10am-7pm)!

Hello Everyone,

TR Nunley of Wilmington Pride and Tracy Hollister (UU Fellowship of Raleigh leader of efforts to defeat Amendment One), in working with Adam Limehouse, Triangle Field Director of the Coalition to Protect All NC Families and Karin Quimby of HRC, transformed the previous Facebook event "NO H8 NC -Protest for Marriage Equality and Against Amendment One" in Raleigh 5/5 from 12-3pm into an opportunity for us to get out the vote to defeat Amendment One between 8:30am-7pm at OutRaleigh -- a gay and family street festival on Fayetteville St in downtown Raleigh [http://www.outraleigh.org/]. We want ~50 volunteers to help! Volunteers will be given a free aqua Coalition t-shirt, water, materials/signs and a free lunch after we finish taking people to the polls at 1pm.

Here is the plan:
1) Meet at 9am (to 10am) for training at the Equality NC "Action Center" (also main Wake Co. field office for the Coalition to Protect NC Families) at 126 E Hargett Street (above Hamlin Drugs, next to bus station and near the intersection of Blount St with Marbles Kids Museum, Café Luna and Moore Square.) For parking, this: http://www.marbleskidsmuseum.org/directions

2) We will then walk over to OutRaleigh and work a few locations (entrances, Fayetteville Street and work with those in booths) to help identify and physically lead Wake Co residents who have not yet voted to the polls.

Note: If you have not already, please say "join" or "maybe" to this revised Get out the Vote Against Amendment One during OutRaleigh Facebook event (http://www.facebook.com/events/402230249811070)
[We created a new page since FB will not let us change the orignal title or time].
