Rules- READ CAREFULLY!
Fees- There is no refund of deposit, fee, or event ticket orders if contestant is unable to attend the pageant. Contestants and their family will be responsible for any medical expenses incurred during the pageant. Anyone who files with the digital payment platform any dispute of fees or refunds will not be allowed to compete in future events with the organization. The contestant shall be responsible for all incidental charges at the hotel.
Backstage & after show- No family, friends, coaches, personal helpers, etc. will be allowed in the wings, on-stage or in interview area. One parent per contestant allowed in the dressing room. After the crowning, only the Official Photographer will be allowed on-stage with a camera.
Judges- No one at any time should wave at, touch (including shaking hands), speak to or approach the judges. All judges decisions are final. Do not reach out to judges on social media at any time.
Staff- Outside of the competition, contestants, parents, friends, relatives, etc. should not approach the judges, the judges' coordinator, or auditors for any reason or at any time.
Grooming- Contestants are not allowed to wear flippers, fake teeth, or other fake dental devices.
ELEMENTARY- false eyelashes are only permitted during on stage competitions. No midsection showing in any phase of competition. No make up during the interview competition, we will swab each delegate. Hair style should be simple and natural. If makeup is found, the contestant will receive a five-point deduction. Shows will move straight through- quick change and touch ups- back to line up. Hair changes not advised, the show must go on. No wiglets or falls allowed.
Expectations:
All Arkansas titleholders will compete in the MEA or MHSA national pageant next summer in Little Rock AR. Diamond State and Natural State titleholders are also invited to compete at nationals. Additional nickname appointed titles will join Team Arkansas. ALL TITLES ARE EQUAL!
Every titleholder for Team Arkansas will agree to post once per month on Facebook, in addition to photos and videos requested from the Arkansas State Director, Lawren Aycock. All sponsor items will be worn/used and posted as instructed. Titleholders will attend a minimum of 3 Team Arkansas workshops.
Failure to adhere to these rules can result in the disqualification of the contest and in her removal from the pageant.
