Parents and community members thank you for taking in an interest in participating on our Local School Council (LSC). The Thorp LSC is directly responsible for three main duties:

Approving how school funds and resources are allocated
Developing and monitoring the annual School Improvement Plan
Evaluating and selecting the school's principal

Additionally, the members or our LSC provide direct feedback to the administration, discuss the impact of curricular initiatives, and generally represent the different voices in the Thorp community.

We currently have one parent and one community position available. Parents must have a child at Thorp, and the community members should have a connection to the Thorp community; although being members of the surrounding neighborhood is not a requirement.

LSC meetings occur every month (on typically the third Monday of the month).
