FACCC in collaboration with our sponsor the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office is proud to offer 40 scholarships for new full-time faculty teaching less than five years and all part-time faculty currently teaching in California Community Colleges to attend the 2025 California Great Teachers Seminar on August 3-7 at Asilomar Conference Grounds, Monterey.

Seminar begins Sunday, August 3 at 5 PM and ends Thursday, August 7 at noon.

A high energy and powerful summer retreat that brings faculty together in search of the “great teacher” within themselves. With no experts or keynote speakers, the seminar is based on the principle that faculty are the experts in teaching and learn best from one another. Whether you teach full-time or part-time, are a veteran teacher, or are new to the profession, the seminar gives you a unique opportunity to reflect on what great teaching is all about.

The scholarship will cover the cost of the following: seminar registration, program materials, four night double occupancy accommodations, and all meals.

If you are selected to receive a scholarship you will receive an email by May 15th.

Please consider answering the following optional questions to help us identify our diverse faculty's needs and effectively and thoughtfully match mentors with mentees.
