Help Me Help You.  This information will help me keep your Apple computer and software up-to-date and secure -- and get you new batteries, if needed!

Instructions:
Please fill out the information below. If you currently use more than one computer (for example, more than one laptop or a laptop and a desktop) please fill out this form separately for EACH computer you use. (I will coordinate with staff members housing laptop carts.)

Try to read and type this number as accurately as you can. (Starts with "DOE....")  Write "Tag Missing" if there is no asset tag sticker.
CUT & PASTE Info from the "ABOUT THIS MAC" specs of your Mac.
With your mouse or trackpad select "About This Mac" from under the Apple Menu icon (top leftmost corner of your screen). THEN CLICK THE "More Info..." BUTTON.
(The screenshots and steps below may differ slightly depending upon what computer/OS you're on, but all the same info is available.)
What SOFTWARE is your computer running? (Cut & Paste the bottom line.) Example: 10.6.8 *
This info is the bottom line of the "About this Mac" window after clicking "More Info..."  
After clicking "About This Mac" under the Apple icon click the "System Report.." or "More Info..." button to select, copy, and paste the rest of the specs requested in the answer boxes below. (Refer to the handy screenshot. :-)
Select "HARDWARE" from the left column to make the following information appear in the right pane. Highlight, then COPY and PASTE the information requested into the boxes below.

From within the same information window that you got "Hardware" info above, now select "POWER" from the left column to see the info needed below.
Under "Health Information" of this Power category select the current condition of your battery *
