In this brief 2 hour Nonviolent Communication workshop, you will learn ways to express yourself more effectively by using skills to
* deal with demands and blaming,
* manage your own emotions that may block understanding,
* minimize the likelihood of defensive reactions in others,
* make clear requests, and
* receive critical and hostile messages without taking them personally, giving in, or losing self-esteem.
These skills will be useful with family, friends, students, and co-workers, as well as help you with your own internal dialogues.
There will be examples given throughout the session and handouts that you will find useful as reminders for your future practice!
