Child Labs Spring 2026 application student employment
Child Labs employs student workers in early education classrooms on the Storrs campus at 6 Alethia Drive.  Students employed at Child Labs must be listed in the state of CT OEC BCIS (background check including fingerprinting).  Student employees work under the supervision and guidance of the Child Labs professional teaching staff.  Student workers at Child Labs work their shifts the entire semester, including exam week.  Arrangements can be made prior to exam week, if final exams occur during scheduled shifts at Child Labs.
Applying for employment at Child Labs means that you are committed to consistently working all scheduled shifts.  Taking on this responsibility means that you are agreeing to be part of a team who shows up regularly for young children.  Working at Child Labs will include engaging with young children ages 6 weeks-5 years old in play as well as taking part in routine care such as diapering, feeding and light cleaning.  This is an active job where you will be expected to lift young children, get on the floor to play with young children and engage in messy experiences in the classrooms and on the playgrounds.  Please only apply if you feel you can meet the expectations for engagement and dependability.
