Skyview Band and Dance (SVBD) Registration 2025-2026
Hello from the SVBD Band Boosters! We are excited to have you participating in Band and Dance at Skyview!    

This registration is for students who will be participating in Color Guard (Dance), Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Competitive Marching Band, Winter Percussion, or Winter Guard.

On August 1st, it will be time to sign up in Final Forms. Click on this link FINAL FORMS LINK and then enter Vancouver Public Schools and click on Parent.  Please sign up for 25-26 Competitive Marching Band (Color Guard and Musicians) under the Activities category.

Competitive Marching Band Camp is from August 11th - August 22nd (Weekends Off). Band Camp is where Freshmen learn the basics of marching, and returning students revisit what they have learned in previous years. By the end of Band Camp, the students will already know the first sequence of the halftime show. Don't forget to mark your calendars!

Parents/guardians, please complete this registration together with your student. We always have students who participate in multiple programs, and many also play different instruments. This registration is critical for planning and administration. We rely on parent/guardian volunteers throughout the school year for help in various roles. Parents/guardians, please consider volunteering and attending monthly parent meetings. Your help and input will build a stronger band and dance community.

Communications:

CutTime
SVBD uses an app called CutTime to communicate with parents/guardians and students. This is where you can receive announcements, view the calendar of events, and sign up to volunteer at various events including competitions, parades, and football games. It is very important for families to sign up.

After students are registered through this form, boosters will update the student information in CutTime. Students and parents/guardians will then receive a link via text message to get started in CutTime.

Facebook
Our private Facebook page, Skyview Band and Dance is a great place for camaraderie and to post photos of our students at their band and dance events. *Please do not post direct images of students other than your own on personal social media without parent consent.*

Website
Our website, svbd.org is a great place to see what our program is about. You can see who's who and get in touch with our band, dance, and percussion directors. You can view our calendar and newsletter, read parent meeting minutes, and sign up to volunteer on our volunteer form.

GroupMe
Please download an App called GroupMe.  It is a free messaging app that we use for quick Q & A.  There is a chat group for Students and one for Parents.  This is for Teachers and Boosters to get information out to students and parents and is not a free for all chat room.  Students - Do not abuse this chat room.  It is monitored by teachers/boosters at all times.  Everything should be school appropriate and is not meant to be used for anything other than getting information out.
