It all started in the 6th grade. He was the trouble maker and I was the goody good with a massive crush on him. I remember on field day he let me wear his hat and I was over the moon. We dated for about a week in 7th grade but we were kids. Though we never lost feelings for each other, we stayed friends over the years and both entered serious (and unhealthy) relationships. Our sophomore year of high school we had Chemistry together- funny right? We got really close that year and our feelings for each other were too strong to ignore. Both of our relationships were failing and ended within a month of each other. Six months later, on the night of my drill team spring show, my life changed forever. We were in the back of our best friend’s truck playing truth or dare. Long story short, he asked me during the game to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes! We have been inseparable ever since. Fast forward six years and here we are happier than ever. He had our best friend (the same one from high school who joined the navy) come home from California and help propose to me in a game of truth or dare. We have a perfect one year old baby boy and my Fiancé will be a firefighter in May of 2018. Antoine and I have been on a rollercoaster since 2011 and I wouldn’t change one thing. All the moving, jobs, financial struggle, family fights, and becoming parents together have made us so strong. I love this man more than anything in the world. He is my best friend and I can’t wait to be his wife!
