PRIVACY STATEMENT

The data you provide in this application form will be processed by AIGHD and ahti. Please note that we will not be able to process your internship application if you do not give your consent to the processing of your data by AIGHD and ahti.

What we do with your internship application data:
- your application is used to facilitate the matching process between internship projects and you, the candidate intern, and to generate internal reports;
- your name and email address are used to communicate with you about internship opportunities and to inform you about the yearly Internship Preview;
- information on your educational background, language proficiency and the desired internship period is used to inform our staff about a possible match between their project and your skills and availability.

We will share your information with staff within AIGHD and ahti and with staff from our partner organizations PharmAccess, JLI, APHRC, Health[e]Foundation, NICST & KNCV. Only staff members of these organizations who have an internship vacancy can request access to your data. Your information will not be shared beyond these organizations and will not be used for commercial purposes.

Your data is stored in Google Cloud and Microsoft OneDrive. Both servers process personal data in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Once the end date of the desired internship period has passed, we will remove your name and email address from our Google Cloud and OneDrive servers unless your opt-in to receive internship or job opportunities beyond the desired internship period. The anonymized data will be archived for internal reports.

You can request to view and correct your information or have your personal data removed or transferred at any time, by sending an email with the subject ‘Internship database: data request’ addressed to our Data Controller at gh_education@aighd.org.

If you wish to withdraw your consent, please send an email with the subject ‘Internship database: withdraw consent’ addressed to our Data Controller at gh_education@aighd.org.
