The paragraph below is a job description of a YCC coach written by a former YCC coach. The long-answer questions are influenced by this paragraph.
"A YCC coach is responsible for selecting and combining the top talent in the area and for developing that group into a team that competes at a national level. Because the players come from such diverse frisbee backgrounds (systems, coaching style, etc.), the coach's challenge lies in quickly helping the players establish chemistry and a group identity. Regular practices, track and fitness sessions, and general opportunities for team bonding are vital in this short summer "all-star" season. Strategically, the team can, and should, absorb concepts that mirror those of the club level. It's an amazing chance to observe and measure the growth of some of the area's top young players in a short time!"
Compensation includes paid travel arrangements (flight, hotel) for the YCC Tournament hosted in Blaine, Minnesota in August and a daily per diem for food and sundries during travel. Coaches will receive free team swag/jerseys as provided by WAFC for the 2016 season.
