Google Bootcamp Knowledge Survey

The following is an example of a "knowledge survey." It is a way of quickly determining your confidence at a range of skills. For each question, you will select two answers:

First, you'll rate your confidence on a 3 point scale:

1 -- Not confident. I don't understand the task, am largely unfamiliar with it, or have little idea how to start, or have tried and failed at this task before and feel like I got nowhere.
2 -- Somewhat confident. I understand the task and have a vague idea of what is required. I could probably perform the task after looking a few things up and I have a good idea where I would go to get this information.
3 -- Confident. I could perform this task right now.


Second, you will indicate whether you think the topic was covered adequately, or if you would have preferred more or less time on each identified skill.

1 -- Too little. I wish more time had been spent on this skill during the workshop.
2 -- Just right. The coverage was adequate for my needs.
3 -- Too much. I wish less time had been spent on this skill during the workshop.

You may explain your ratings in the open-ended sections at the end of each set of skills.

There are a lot of questions, but it goes quickly once you get a hang of the rating scale. We anticipate that most people can complete this in 25 minutes or less.
