About the Durham HomeFries Cooking Classes:
The Durham HomeFries Cooking Classes are free cooking classes offered by the Durham Farmers' Market. They are for kids ages 9-13 who want to learn to cook with local food. The HomeFries meet the 2nd Saturday of the month from June-August on the central Market lawn under the big tent. Classes start at 9:30am sharp and usually last until around 11am. All classes are free.

Classes are led by different local cooking instructors and chefs who teach the kids how to shop for local ingredients, follow recipes, and basic cooking techniques, while having lots of fun in the process!
