Job function of a T1 support intern
Interns of this level do not need to have prior experience. This job function is to troubleshoot basic I.T. support issues/tickets in the lab environment and tutorial in reasonable amounts of time as well as aid in T1 internship projects directed by T2 support interns and technical assistants. These interns must also contribute a minimum of 4 hours to our tutorial center per week.

T1 Daily tasks
• Check OTRS ticketing system for new T1 issues
• Check in with a T2 intern or technical assistant on the project for the day
• Complete assigned support tickets/Elevate if unable to solve
• Assist with projects assigned by T2 interns and technical assistants
• Tutorial hours when available/assigned
• General Lab Cleanliness


Job function of a T2 intern
Interns of this level must have prior experience in our internship program. This job function is to supervise and assist T1 support interns in their projects and troubleshoot elevated tickets by T1 interns. These interns will assist with the more technically complex projects carried out by technical assistants. These interns must also contribute 4 hours per week in our tutorial.

T2 Daily tasks
• Check OTRS ticketing system for elevated T1 tickets from previous day
• Check in with a technical assistant for project for the day
• Inform T1 interns on the project for the day and create a plan to accomplish it
• Complete Elevated support tickets/Elevate if unable to solve
• Assist technical assistants with complex technical projects
• Tutorial hours when assigned
