UNDP, UNFPA and the Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector (SPHS) Secretariat, are inviting you to explore the latest sustainable procurement initiatives, share good-practice examples and advance the dialogue on how sustainable procurement practices can be harmonized and scaled-up across the global health sector.
Sessions are tailored for non-experts of environmental issues and therefore explicitly addressing participants, with different kinds of professional backgrounds. From the organizers’ point of view, a successful meeting would mean that procurement practitioners share their experience, initiatives and stories and most importantly, initialize an internal organization’s dialogue and advocate to adapt environmental aspects into their procurement processes, if not yet done so, committing to certain goals.
It would be deemed as a success if procurers would explore opportunities on how to connect to the Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector (SPHS) and collaborate on the further development of sustainable procurement initiatives and tools. The procurers will have a chance to learn more about the new SPHS online engagement platform, where they can also share their success stories, connect with the global SPHS expert network and attend future webinars on sustainable procurement.
