Recognized in 2011 & 2012 as a National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award Finalist, the Teen Reviewers and Critics (TRaC) Program is a FREE out-of-school opportunity for teens to explore the arts in NYC. Participants spend each term attending cutting-edge theater, dance and music performances; visiting artist studios, galleries, and museums; mastering NYC's subway system; learning the art of discussion and critical writing; AND so much more!
This summer, we're proud to present a Summer TRaC that focuses on free art in NYC during the warmer months. This year's Summer TRaC is a special 4-week intensive where a group of 15 students will explore the arts world of NYC within the scope of free arts and cultural events in different neighborhoods all over the 5 boroughs. There will also be the added bonus of meeting artists and performers from all over the 5 boroughs! Participants will attend events and performances in the visual and performing arts; meet professional artists, performers, and writers; navigate NYC; critically respond to art; and publish content on our online publication, the Journal of Arts and Reviews (The JAR) at teens.artsconnection.org. Space is limited therefore, we will not be able to accommodate all applicants in the program.
For more information about the Summer TRaC program, please contact Keonna Hendrick, TRaC Program Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 212-453-9485.

Summer TRaC is open to high school students (entering 10th - graduating 12th grades) in NY and NJ who can commit to attending workshops 3 days a week and possible additional events/outings. Parents must be comfortable with participants traveling around the 5 boroughs with program staff.
