NEED ANALYSIS SURVEY MINE-EMI (Maritime Innovation Network of Education for Emerging Maritime Issues) JMP (Joint Master Program):
Education, training and research are vital to the development and success of today's knowledge society and economy. The EU's strategy emphasizes countries working together and learning from each other while the EU education and training policy underlines that knowledge, and the innovation it sparks, are the EU's most valuable assets, particularly as global competition becomes more intense in all sectors under the hardships of the global economy.

Project MINE-EMI is focused at elaboration of Joint Master Program (JMPs) that facilitate developing skills and competences to raise awareness on emerging maritime issues in order to promote sustainable management of the maritime sector. Project brings together partners from Turkey, France, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, and it involves representatives from the business sector and local administrations in order to fill the gap between the requirements in the maritime sector (management, transport operations, logistic) and the current lacking offer of updated master degree courses in that matter.

This survey has been prepared to predict the future tendencies in the sector in the light and pace of present developments and to shape the curriculum of a JMP (Joint Master Program) to address all these issues. The JMP will concentrate on three modules, namely;

Integrated Maritime Policy -IMP,
Port and Maritime Logistics-PML and
Port Management and Ship Operations –PSO

Your contributions will help us to determine the most update curricula on the above topics to meet the requirements and expectations of the relevant stakeholders from future postgraduates who will be candidates for managerial positions in maritime sector.

Thank you for your time.
