FTC Kickoff - Challenge Reveal and Strategy Session at Discovery Center Water's Edge - 2025

This form is for registration to attend the 2024 FTC Kickoff and Reveal on Sat, September 6th.
Hosted by Techbrick Education and the Discover Center at Water's Edge.

This is an opportunity to see the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition challenge and goals for the '25-26 season, see the field elements, talk to a Referee, and collaborate with other students on how you might address the challenge!

Each person attending should complete a registration so we know how many are coming.

Due to space constraints we can only host about 50 participants.

If you register and find you cannot attend, please contact us to remove you and make a slot available

10:30 (ish) to ~5pm

Discovery Center at Water's Edge Preview Center

4405 Pulaski Hwy, Belcamp, MD 21017

*Note - building shared with the US Post Office*

* Note - parking at the facility is very limited We encourage carpooling. If the lot is full, there is plenty of parking farther down Rt 40 at 4690 Millennium Dr at the back of the lot near the highway, with a short walk through the woods on the gravel pathway.

Schedule:

~ 10:30-12 - Meet other teams, learn about APG research, get some lunch

~ 12-1:00 - FTC 2024 Season Challenge Reveal

~ 1:00-2:00 - Meet the Field, Q&A with FIRST Chesapeake Ref

~ 2-2:30 - break and robotics demonstrations

~ 2:30-4:30 - Breakout and collaboration sessions. Students will work in mixed groups, AKA, NOT only their usual FTC teams, with multiple rounds

~4:30-5pm - clean up & final comments

Food: We will have food for lunch and snacks available for a small donation - details are TBD to be updated here. We will not be taking orders in advance, but to ensure we estimate the proper amount to have on hand, please indicate your intentions below..
