Under the banner of Europe India Agriculture Forum, The Embassy of India, Paris Government of India wishes to organize 'Indian Fruits Festival' cum 'Knowledge Tour' for the promotion of Indian Fruits in European Markets. The proposed event of ‘Indian Fruits Festival’ will be organized at Rungis, the biggest fresh food market in Europe. Rungis serves as a hub for the arrival of fruits & vegetables from around the world and home to all principal fruits & vegetables buyers & distributors.
However, India, the world’s second largest fruit producer is virtually absent from Rungis with few buyers even aware of the potential of India as a fruit exporter. It is with this objective that the Embassy of India, Paris wants to organize the Fruit Festival and business interaction event at Rungis itself as it will allow a large number of fruit buyers and distributors to participate in the event.
The event will be in the form of a B2B meeting followed by a fruit tasting and sampling. It will possible to taste them and get information from the producer such as harvesting period or region of production. As we want to promote effectively the exports from India, key importers, and distribution partners will be invited from different states of India to make it more attractive to the buyer.
