Welcome and Thank You for Volunteering for Kaleo Kids!

We are thrilled to have you join us in creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for the children in our program. To ensure everyone’s safety and maintain a professional and positive experience, we ask all volunteers to carefully review and agree to the policies outlined in this form.

If you are a parent completing this form on behalf of a volunteer under the age of 18, please take the time to review the policies with your child so they fully understand their responsibilities and commitments as a volunteer.

We understand that unexpected situations may arise, but it’s important for the safety and supervision of the children that we can rely on our volunteers. By signing up, do you agree to commit to the full session and notify the director as soon as possible if you’re running late or need to cancel, so we have time to make other arrangements? *
Please note: Volunteer roles will be assigned based on factors such as seniority, age, and demonstrated responsibility. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work to ensure the best experience for everyone involved. *

Volunteer Policies Acknowledgment
By volunteering, I acknowledge and agree to the following policies, which are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of the children and staff:

Bathroom Policy: I understand that staff and volunteers are not permitted to share bathrooms with children.
Rule of Three: I will ensure that I am never alone with a child; there must always be at least three people present (e.g., two children and one adult or two adults and one child).
Maintaining Professional Boundaries: I will maintain appropriate boundaries with children, including avoiding physical contact beyond what is necessary for safety and care.
No Sharing of Personal Information: I will not share my phone number, social media accounts, or any other personal contact information with children or their families.
No Photos or Videos: I will not take pictures or record videos of children or staff unless explicitly authorized by the program director.

Background Check Authorization (For Volunteers 18 and Older)

To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, volunteers aged 18 and older are required to undergo a background check. Please complete the following authorization:

I authorize Kaleo Arts to conduct a background check, including criminal history, as part of the volunteer screening process. I understand that this information will be used solely for determining my eligibility to volunteer and will be kept confidential.

Last thing!
