NMSQT/PSAT(National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) Sign up by September 5th, 2025 - Test Date October 23, 2025
As a 10th or 11th grader,  you have the option to take the NMSQT/PSAT in October 23, 2025.
The NMSQT stands for the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It refers to the PSAT that students take in their  junior year to enter the National Merit Scholarship competition, along with tens of thousands of other students (around 1.6 million annually). It’s often shown as PSAT/NMSQT. Alpena has had students qualify for these scholarships in the last couple of years. There is a $20 cost for this test, please take money to the Main Office. 
 
There will not be a makeup session for this test. The deadline to register is Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025
