Choosing to eat the right foods and fluids whilst at altitude can help to optimise energy intake and minimise weight loss, preserve muscle mass therefore strength & performance and also enhance brain function to aid decision making. Additionally eating the right foods can also help look after your health whilst in the mountains especially those of you that make prolonged /multiple trips.
