The event is February 9, 2019 from 5-9 pm at Spirit in Lawrenceville. VIP entry begins at 5pm for those that purchase a VIP ticket. General admission begins at 6pm.
In order to provide the judges time to judge and provide brewers with some feedback, judging will begin at approximately 2pm that day. Brewers submitting entries to be judged can either:
1. Arrive between 1pm and 1:30pm to set up kegs. Stewards will then visit your keg during judging (2pm-6pm) to collect samples.
2. Arrive between 1pm and 1:30pm to drop of a bottle of beer to be used for judging. If you choose this option, you can set up any time between 1pm and 4pm for the event.
Due to the nature of popular vote, increase your odds of winning by providing at least 2.5 gallons per entry.
Brewers must provide their own ice and serving equipment. We will provide a dump bucket and water for each table.
For individual brewers, the competition is free to enter and includes 1 t-shirt and pint glass. Brewers may bring ONE assistant or co-brewer for no additional charge. Because this is a fundraiser, and the space has a limited capacity, teams of brewers greater than two must purchase a general admission ticket for each additional brewer that plans to attend. We appreciate your understanding.
Tickets will go on sale in December. Additional tickets may be purchased online or at the door. We will share registraiton information with all registered brewers as soon as the site is live.
Entries will be judged by a panel of local celebrities and beer experts. Judges to be announced soon!
Any style in the BJCP guidelines is welcome, which includes meads, ciders, and perrys.
