MARKET SEASON
Start Date: April 10th thru October - potential to extend to mid-October, weather permitting (Tentative End Date: October, 12th)

Bastion Square (between Government Street and Wharf Street), and Boomerang Court

$40 including GST/day ~

Returning Vendors be aware the BSM regulations been changed since previous seasons.


PLEASE NOTE:  We encourage vendors to book a minimum of 6-8 dates/month, this benefits your own sales and provides more consistency to the general public. Those that book 8+ dates/month will be given priority over those only interested in less/month.

Vendors must supply their own:

Tents + Tables + Weights + Displays.

Vendors must keep products and personal belongings inside their booth space at all times, ensuring tents, umbrellas, tables and products do not present a hazard. 
Tents and/or umbrellas must be weighted appropriately.
Tents must be in good condition (not worn/faded, no stains, no tears, not branded ~ unless vendor’s own brand). 

If booth setup does not reflect the desired aesthetic and/or safety standards for the Bastion Square Market, vendors will be asked to make appropriate changes.

Do you have weights for your tent? *
BSM WEIGHT POLICY

-Tents and/or umbrellas must be weighted and must be secured for wind (minimum 20 pounds per corner)
-Almost exclusively weight type are limited to sandbags or block weights in order to safely prevent tents sliding/lifting in event of wind.
NOTE-in the event of fair weather weights are still mandatory.
-Makeshift weights such as red bricks, water jugs, random tied objects or attaching your tent to city infrastructure is NOT permitted.
-If you have any questions in regards to if your weights are acceptable please reach out.

The Market Site Coordinator(s) can rent BSRA weights to vendors at their  discretion, in case of emergency / exceptional circumstances   

- Vendors are expected to arrive with adequate weights, failure to do so may result in being sent home.
Market staff may provide Market weights if necessary as available for $20 a day for a maximum of 3 collective days within a 1 week period.
Failure to acquire proper weights within 7 days of initial warning may result in suspension until you have the proper equipment.
This is to encourage personal responsibility in complying with market safety standards and limiting wear/tear of market equipment.

- Any vendor borrowing BSRA weights will be responsible for any loss or damage: 

Weight Replacement Cost: 

• $25 per nylon weight bag 

• $120 per rubber weight plate

Vendor fees will be required prior to attendance at market days

Vendor fees can be paid by E-Transfer or Square (credit/debit). Vendor fees are required to be remitted prior to your market date. It is encouraged to remit monthly in advance of your market dates.
