Thanks to Arc'teryx we are able to offer this trip at a very subsidized cost. Please note this trip is a closed 2SLGBTQIA+ space, and you must be 18+ to participate.
This trip has spaces for both new outdoor climbers (have either never climbed, or only climbed indoors before) and independent lead climbers who own their own lead climbing gear and want to come make memories with us!
Participants in the guided group can expect to: learn how to tie a figure 8 knot, learn how top rope belay, and gain experience climbing outdoors.
Cost for this trip: is $100 for a guided space or $50 for a non guided space.
Cost includes:
Guided space: $100, includes guided climbing for two days, a camping spot, snacks, any camping/climbing gear needed, and a fun time!
Independent: $50, includes a camping spot, snacks, and a fun time!
We will be camping as a group, and unfortunately no pets can attend. We are able to provide climbing and basic camping gear for guided group members. We will provide snacks (fruit, granola bars, s'mores) but everyone is otherwise responsible for their own meals.
We are able to offer 12 guided spots with ACMG guides Ren Lavergne (they/them) and Zenn Teoh (he/him), and 12 independent spaces. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. If you register and are unable to attend, please let us know ASAP so someone else has the opportunity to fill the spot.
DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION FORM SUBMISSION: 11:59 PM Wednesday May 29th.
We will confirm registration with all attendees.
Please note there is a pre-trip meeting on Monday June 17th from 6:00-7:00 pm, location: Pride Centre of Edmonton (beside Boulders climbing gym). Attendance is strongly encouraged; if you will not be in Edmonton that day we ask you attend virtually or connect with one of the organizers you ensure you get the information and waivers you need ahead of time.
***We will be closely watching the weather and forest-fires leading up to this trip. The trip organizers will confirm between 48 - 72 hours before the trip that it is safe to proceed.
In the event of trip cancellation due to unsafe conditions, you will be fully refunded.
****Please note that because our trip is sponsored, we can only allow use of legal substances (alcohol and cannabis), used responsibly. All participants are expected to be self-responsible, and respectful of other participants, and our campsite at all times. Additionally we request that participants be sober, alert, and attentive while climbing to keep yourself and others safe.
