Welcome to the annual Summer Travel/Credit Course Program in Italy Application Form. Thank you for your interest in the program!
The Hamilton Dante Centre INC is not a Travel Agency. It is an Ontario registered not-for-profit charitable organization. Its overall mandate is to promote the teaching/learning of the Italian language and culture to young people and adults.
For over 30 years, “The Dante” has been facilitating local school boards as they implement and organize very successful programs related to the "language and culture of Italy". The Travel/Study Summer High School Credit Program in Italy is but one of those. Since 1995, the Niagara Catholic District School Board has been offering the credit program with the assistance of the Hamilton Dante Centre and its volunteers.
Every year, we experience an oversubscription of interested students. Therefore, space in the program is limited.
Routinely, all applicants are placed on a priority waitlist. Approval is generally confirmed on a first-come first-served basis. However, other considerations also come into play. We take into consideration the submission date of a
complete and accurate application package (i.e., online application form, payment(s) based on the fee schedule)
and course availability. Students who are not approved in the first selection round will be placed on a waitlist as places often become available through a few cancellations. Students
who are not successful, receive full refund and, with their permission, are
placed on top of the approved list, for the successive summer program.
If accepted, the student’s official credit counselling form will be required at a later date. At the appropriate time you will receive information regarding these forms.
To travel, you will need valid travel documents (e.g., Canadian passport). You will need these documents by the end of April.
