· There is an all-knowing, all-powerful, just, and perfectly holy God who resides in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit · God’s unending love for us should motivate perfect obedience, yet all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. · But God loved us anyway and wanted to give us mercy while being perfectly just. · So He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to obey, live in perfect obedience and to become the substitution for the wrath we deserved. · Jesus was born of a virgin and lived a life of relative obscurity until his last 3 years in which He taught extensively about the heart of God. · Jesus was betrayed unjustly, and murdered on a cross where the Lord God poured out every wrath that we as disobedient sinners deserve upon His Son. · On the third day, Jesus rose back to life and death was undone. · Eternal life is granted to those who stop looking to themselves to solve their own problems or wallow in their sins, and choose to look upon the Lord in faith and love, knowing that He is more precious than any other gift. · Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are adopted as sons and daughters and loved forevermore. There is no wrath left for us. · We will continue to sin endlessly, unable to perfectly obey here on earth, but He will continue to grow us through the gift of the Holy Spirit convicting us of sin and guiding us to more perfectly love and obey Him. · Jesus will come back again to call those of us who love Him to his side and to judge those who have rejected His love. · Our goal here at C’est La Vie is to bring a lens on how the redeeming love of God meets us consistently, right in the middle of our mess, changing everything into stories for His glory.
