Resource extraction is strongly grounded into power imbalances and unfair global political and trade systems. But the energy transition to cleaner energy is the golden opportunity to rewrite the relationships that govern our resources: between people and planet, between companies and communities, and between nations. As civil society, we need to push for bold reforms of the intertwined systems that currently maintain dependency and deep inequalities between current resource-producing countries, and resource-consuming countries. 

With powerful interventions from our women panelists, including Global South leaders at the front-line of resource extraction, as well as labor, trade and finance experts, we will discuss the systemic barriers that we need to dismantle together in order to make a just energy transition a reality.
