The Commission on the State Takeover of HISD was formed to address the growing lack of trust in the state takeover and Mike Miles by thoroughly investigating the current conditions within HISD. It is

Focused on, but not limited to, student outcomes and wellness, teacher retention, safety, facilities, and finances.
Supported by data collection, current and archival, and public input provided via listening sessions, email, and written and recorded statements.
