Join CSU East Bay and the Wikipedia Year of Science!
If you'd like to attend the CSU East Bay "Teaching with Wikipedia" workshop, please leave your details here. Attendees are invited from other UC, CSU, & other California institutions.

In this workshop, staff from the Wiki Education Foundation will talk about why Wikipedia’s quality is so important and how students can improve academic topics through a classroom assignment. In contributing content to Wikipedia, students gain skills in media literacy, fact-based writing, research, collaboration, and critical thinking. You’ll learn about best practices for using Wikipedia as a teaching tool and how Wiki Ed can support you and your students in this innovative service learning assignment. Staff will also discuss how Science instructors can participate during the Wikipedia Year of Science, though all disciplines are invited and welcome.

Time: 10am-noon on Friday, February 19th.
Location: Classroom LI3079 on the Upper Mall level of the CSU East Bay Library
