The Legacy Award is bestowed annually to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the excellence, diversity and vitality to the arts, history, or culture of Michigan, and to broadening the availability and appreciation of those entities through the State. The honoree is recognized at a festive Gala taking place each summer. Nominations must be received by Oct. 11, 2013.
