Since 2014, the LIB CON conference has been organized by the Hostivice Municipal Library, with a focus on public libraries and information services trends. As with previous editions, the 8th edition this year will aim to connect librarianship with other disciplines and explore new ways and approaches. Alongside current trends in science and education, this year's edition will address a hot topic: the issue of security in libraries. As libraries contain vast amounts of valuable information and materials, including users' personal data, ensuring their protection from unauthorized access, damage, loss or theft is essential.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, and networking will take place in the afternoon/evening, with good wine and discussions. The conference will also include an English-language lecture, which will be translated. It is intended for professional librarians, representatives of municipalities and educational institutions, including companies from the information sector, as well as for anyone interested in librarianship and information science.
