MOWIT 2025 Workday Volunteer Sign Up
Welcome the sign up to our 2025 Volunteer “Workday” Opportunities!! Our Workdays Program we partner with other 501(c)3 organizations to provide quality construction services for free. This provides tradeswomen a chance to network and skill-up, and also is a wonderful opportunity for women in the public to get some tools in their hands in a safe and supportive environment.
Generally for all workdays -- All welcome (all abilities, all ages 16 or over) Come learn with us!!

Reeb House Workdays - Partnering with the Sisterhood of Carpenters
*Please bring PPE and hand tools if you have them!
*Event will occur rain or shine, unless notified!
*Lunch is always provided for full-day events, water always provided
*All volunteers must sign a waiver
*All workdays are generally 8 am - 4 pm, but feel free to come as you are able!!
*Two days prior to a workday, a reminder email or text will be sent to the contacts who signed up for that opportunity
Events and Partners:
Build a brick planter Workdays! Learn to lay block and brick while you Beautify a property for Nonprofit Keyway.
We will be partnering with the Bricklayers and Allied Trades to beautify an outdoor space at Keyway Center for Diversion and Reentry, who's mission is to advocate for and assist women in the criminal justice system to support their successful transition to family and community. We will be laying a brick or block planter around a shed at a Keyway facility, the Baker House. Please sign up to be involved in the planning and Workday to build!

STORM RELIEF WORKDAYS
We are partnering with The Ville Neighborhood to support the rebuild efforts of getting our
community members back in their homes. The upcoming dates are:

We will be finishing up the back deck work at two work days this spring! Come help us install wood handrails, stairs, and build a porch roof! The upcoming dates are:

Sherwood Forest Camp - Volunteer
Trades Weekend: This event is a fun event for Sherwood Forest
supporters to help with a variety of projects that make our camp a
better place for the kids who call it home during the summer. This year,
the event will take place Friday April 4th - Sunday, April 6th at their campsite in Lesterville, Missouri. Volunteers will be fed by a camp
chef and can camp overnight in group cabins at the Camp. Fun! This is hosted by Sherwood
forest and promoted by MOWIT.
For 2025, the plan is for MoWIT to work alongside a larger group in helping to redesign cabins in the Sycamore Village at camp. This would involve the disassembly and moving of beds, building and installation of new beds, and other potential aspects. The registration link below can be forwarded to any members interested in volunteering . The registration page and includes updated volunteer waiver that everyone is required to sign.

Girl Scouts Woodworker Badge Workday:
This event is in planning mode for the 2025 summer schedule. We will be partnering with the Sisterhood of Carpenters to host multiple local Girl Scout Troops at the Carpenter Joint Apprenticeship Program for a 1-day workshop. Please sign up to be a part of the planning and the Workday to work with the Girl Scouts!
