24th Session of Near East Forestry and Range Commission (NEFRC)
Following the sequence of events, there is a Near East Forestry and Range Commission (NEFRC) meeting, in its 24th session!
In this occasion, the Forestry Department of FAO invites IFSA members to join this event as observers to learn and give a voice to youth in this developing region.

This Commission, which meets every two years, is one of six Regional Forestry Commissions established by FAO to provide a policy and technical forum for countries to discuss and address forest issues on a regional basis.

As observer during the event, the International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA) will send a delegation to give support and empowerment to forestry student in the region, encouraging them to participate and raise their voice for the contribution of solving the burning problems in the region.

Once again, this is going to be a great opportunity and unique experience for interaction with professionals from different fields since FAO encourages wide participation of government officials from forestry and other sectors as well as representatives of international, regional and sub-regional organizations that deal with forest-related issues in the region, including NGOs, and the private sector.
