NOMINATIONS WILL CLOSE JUNE 20, 2025
Every year The Orange County Arts Council Annual Art Awards recognize living individuals, organizations, and corporations which have made outstanding contributions to the arts in our community. Recipients may include individual artists, arts patrons, volunteers, non-profit cultural organizations, and corporate patrons.
We invite you to submit a nomination for a person, organization or corporation who has demonstrated excellence in the arts in our community.
Nominations should be based on artistic excellence, unusual achievement, perseverance, and a deep commitment to the arts and the community. Recipients will be chosen by the Arts Council Board of Directors. The Awards will be presented at the Art Affair event to be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025
ELIGIBILITY
Any interested individual is eligible to submit a nomination.
Those eligible to be nominated must:
1. Currently reside in Orange County for more than one year.
2. Identify as an artist/artist group of any discipline, or show significant history of arts advocacy.
3. Demonstrate impact on the Orange County arts community past, present, and future.
Artist Type may include but is not limited to: Visual Artists, Literary Artists, Performing Artists, Design Artists, Experience Creators, a combination of disciplines, or any individual who identifies as an artist.
Arts Advocates may include but not limited to: Business Leaders, Donors, Patrons, Educators, Community Leaders, or Administrators.
Award nominees may NOT be:
EVALUATION CRITERIA
Eligibility of submitter and eligibility of candidate and his/her appropriateness for the award.
Quality and completeness of information submitted, including credentials of candidate, as evidenced by biographical information and required narrative.
Quality of contribution and extent of participation in the arts in Orange County, as evidenced by uniqueness of contribution, length of time, level of outreach, depth of commitment to the arts.
SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
A complete nomination submission consists of:
❑ A short narrative describing the nominee’s SPECIFIC work, activities or accomplishment for which they deserve recognition. Include the SPECIFIC time period during which the candidate’s qualifying work, activity or accomplishment occurred.
❑ A resume, CV, or list of activities and projects that they been involved in.
❑ Nominator and Candidate contact information, including correct spelling of candidate’s name and/or stage name(s), and complete correct contact information.
Deadline for submission is 5:00 pm June 20, 2025, either through this form or in an email to connect@ocartscouncil.org Submissions received after 5:00 pm on June 20th will not be accepted.
