Audio Comparison - Plugins vs. Outboards!
We are writing an essay about the differences between a few well known outboard compressors and their replicas in plugin form. In this form we will ask you a few questions regarding the listening test you have received.

You will take part of a few comparisons between hardware and software compression with identical settings and gain reduction. We will let you know what compressor is used (but not wether it's software or hardware - the order of software and hardware have been randomly chosen) and if it's "soft" or "hard" compression.

Two materials are used - a drumbeat recorded by Anders Kjöllerfors (Old Barn Drum Studio) with Ehrlund microphones, and an electronic dance music composition, made by one of us (Fyzz - Shamaniac)

First we would like you to answer a few questions about your experience in music production.
After that the questions that follow are in the same order as the audio file you will be listening to.

We would be sincerely grateful if you took your time to answer our survey.

Note: "Övrigt" means "Other" (we were unable to change language for that option).

The listening test is available at this link: https://soundcloud.com/fyzz-productions/plugins-vs-outboards-blind-test-by-fyzz-cosmic-distortion-download-it

It is downloadable!
