Time: 8:00am - 9:00am Weigh-in. 9:30am Rules meeting (STANDARD POWERLIFTING RULES apply *this is a non-sanctioned meet). 10:00am Competition start time.
Rules: BENCH PRESS- 1.The lifter must lie backward with shoulders and buttocks in contact with the flatbench surface. The lifter’s shoes or toes must be in solid contact with the platformor surface. The position of the head is optional. 2.After receiving the bar at arms length, the lifter shall lower the bar to the chest and await the head referees’ signal. The signal shall be an audible command “Press” and given as soon as the bar ismotionless on the chest. The lifter will press the bar to straight arm’s length and hold motionless until the audible command “Rack” is given. The bar may stop, but there must be no downward motion of the bar once the lift has started. DEADLIFT- 1. The bar will be gripped with an optional grip in both hands, and lifted until the lifter is standing erect. The bar may stop but there must be no downward motion of the bar. 2. On completion of the lift, the knees shall be locked in a straight position and the lifter shall be standing erect. 3. The head referee’s signal shall consist of a downward movement of the arm and The audible command “Down”. The signal will not be given until the bar is held motionless and the lifter is in an apparent finished position.
Lifting Attire: This is a RAW lifting meet. One-Piece Lifting singlet is requested (but not required). This meet is RAW (belt and wrist-wraps allowed but not required).
Divisions: Men and Women Open, Teen (14-19), Junior (20-23), and Master's (40 and over)
Weight Classes: (WEIGHT CLASSES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED UPON NUMBER OF ENTRIES)Men: 130 lb (and under), 150, 175, 198, 220, 250, Heavyweight (over 250 lb). Women: 104 lb (and under), 120, 135, 150, 165, Heavyweight (over 165 lb)
Awards: 1st thru 3rd Place for the Bench Press and 1st thru 3rd Place for Deadlift, and 1st thru 3rd for combined Push/Pull Total for both Men and Women in each weight class.
