Lights Out Pledge!

> Lights Pollution and Birds
Every year hundreds of millions of birds are killed in window collisions. Part of the problem is our overuse of artificial light.

> Day and Night
Birds hit buildings at night and during the day for different reasons. At night migrating birds can be drawn off course by tall, lighted structures in their path.

> Lights Out Saves Birds
We work with building managers to reduce night lighting during migration. Lights Out is a proven strategy for reducing the number of birds that become disoriented by night lighting and hit buildings as a result. Audubon Minnesota's Lights Out program has been ongoing since 2007.

> Be the Solution
Light pollution affects all living creatures including birds and humans. And light pollution is within our control to change! Every "lights out" decision can help.
