Hello and welcome to our Korean Language Exchange program, 어깨동무! 어깨동무 is a program that matches Korean native speakers with a student taking a Korean language class, who will be language exchange partners. The Center for Korean Studies is taking an initiative to connect you with the best-matching and available SBU student who is learning Korean or native Korean speaker. Once you are paired, everything else including when to meet, where to meet, what to do, etc. is up to you and your partner. We expect that both of you meet regularly to practice Korean language and discuss about the Korean culture and society, at least once a week for about an hour (either in person or online). If you are interested in this program, please fill out this survey so that we can match you with a new friend!

Please keep in mind that this program is first come first serve, so priority for matching will be given based on this criteria.

안녕하세요, 어깨동무 프로그램에 지원해 주셔서 감사합니다. 어깨동무는 한국어를 배우는 스토니브룩대학 학생들과 한국어를 모국어로 사용하는 학생들을 연결해서 한국어 연습과 문화적 교류를 증진 도모하기 위해 진행하는 프로그램입니다. 매치가 이루어지면 이후 모임의 계획과 지속은 전적으로 해당 학생들에 의해 진행되며 한국학센터는 이에 개입하지 않음을 숙지하시기 바랍니다. 다만 최소 매주 한 시간씩 온라인이나 대면으로의 만남을 요구하기 때문에 이를 실천할 수 있는 학생들만 이 설문에 응해 주십시오.
