Three D Radio Off-Air Volunteer Application Form

Thanks so much for your interest in volunteering at Three D! We are very grateful to everyone who puts their hand up to help out at the station. The number of volunteer roles that become available at Three D is much larger than the number of applications we receive so if you are a good fit, we are likely going to find you a role.

This is an application for volunteering behind the scenes in a non-broadcast capacity. If you're interested in broadcaster training, read more here.

(If you are interested in general community radio or broadcasting experience, there are a lot of community radio stations that are in huge need of volunteers and they might be able to offer you something sooner than we can. Check out the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia website for a list of stations: www.cbaa.org.au)

Volunteer availability
All of our volunteer roles take place between 10am and 7pm Monday to Friday or at Live from Studio 3 on Wednesday nights between 6pm and 10pm, with occasional events at other times e.g. Outside Broadcast's tend to be on weekends.

Volunteer Roles
Volunteers help out in a range of different roles across Three D Radio. There is so much more to us than you see and hear. Some tasks are very skill heavy, whilst others are easy to learn and participate in, and there are many ways to get involved. We need people who can help with production, videography, sound engineering, administration and social media as a start.  We are seeking volunteers who are interested in some real life industry experience, or just to build your skills. Please see the options below and indicate your interest. Requirements: happy to work in a busy environment.
Reception/Administration *
Maintaining a presence on site at Three D Radio, 10am-2pm. Answering the phone, emails, and member enquiries. Along with responding to any in-person queries. A daily face of Three D Radio!
Requirements: friendly and understanding people person with basic computing and office skills.

Videography/Photography Volunteer *
Can you use a camera and love taking photos? We need you!
Requirements: must have experience shooting performers, and must be available Wednesday evenings, 7pm-9pm. For some weekend events we also require an experienced photographer/videographer.

Stage Tech *
Assist the broadcast engineer at Live From Studio 3 with setting up mics, running leads, and observe soundcheck and the performance, assisting with anything that comes up. 
Requirements: live audio experience or sound engineering training. You must be available Wednesday evenings, 6pm-9:30pm. For some weekend events we also require an experienced stage tech.

Production *
Assisting in the production of stings, promos and station id's, and anything else production related that might come up.
Requirements: sound knowledge of production and production software, along with the sound of the station. Flexible commitment that suits you, with respect to station needs.
